MANUEL SANCHÍS HONTIYUELO - Biography
Manuel Sanchís Hontiyuelo, known as Manolo, is a Spanish former footballer who played as a defender. Born in Madrid on May 23, 1965, he is the fifth most decorated player in Real Madrid history with 21 trophies. Sanchís played for Real Madrid from 1983 to 2001, making 710 appearances and scoring 40 goals. He was part of the famous "Quinta del Buitre" and is the only member to have played his entire career with Real Madrid and to have won the Champions League twice with the club. Sanchís also played for the Spanish national team, earning 48 caps and scoring one goal. He won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 1986 with Spain.
